Terry Bowden to ULM.

Didn't see that coming.

IMO, ULM hired the wrong Bowden.

I've always found it interesting that Terry Bowden's brother --former Clemson and Tulane Head Coach Tommy Bowden-- never bothered to get back into coaching, since leaving Clemson in 2008. Tommy Bowden is the brother who had the undefeated season (12-0) at Tulane back in 1998. His team beat the crap out of Tim Rattay, Troy Edwards and our LA Tech Bulldogs 63-30, in the Superdome that year. Tommy Bowden also hired Dabo Swinney --Clemson's current Head Coach-- as his Asst Head coach and WR coach.

After a 12-year head coaching career, Tommy Bowden retired at 54, with a 90-49 W-L record.

Good hire for ulm. His name will attract some attention and he might land a recruit or two ulm wouldn't have, otherwise. Gonna go out on a limb and predict a rapid improvement for ulm. Next year, at some point in one of their games, they will actually enjoy a lead. Might only be 3-0 and be short-lived, but hey! that'll be better than anything they did this year.

Might take a while, but yes I agree they might take a lead sometime next season. They do have Liberty and 2 SEC schools as their OOC games though, no easy 3-0 leads there. Wonder where the sleeping giant guy is with his take on the hire? He might have finally given up.

Holtz's contract doesn't expire for another 5 years and his buddy TMac raised the buyout super high before he jetted off to Tennessee and left us to deal with this upper decker.
