Sure, the genetics point to its evolution, rather than the lab creation of the virus. Given its high transmissibility after making the leap to humans, it is pretty crazy to think the Chinese could have deliberatively controlled it for a bioweapon. The thing spreads like wildfire.
Not saying the Chinese didn’t try to cover it up or that poor regulation enforcement or commercial/industrial hygiene didn’t play a role, but the logic of a deliberate bioweapon is laughable.

Well, first, the article only posed questions and the same theories others have. It is not a scientific white paper.
But, to the bigger point, we still do not KNOW the Chicoms weren't TRYING to create a Covid virus weapon. Just because they failed miserably at it and as result millions around the world have died, doesn't mean they didn't try. Doesn't mean they did, either. The Chicoms have executed lab workers and others who did know the truth and no way...well**...will the world ever know.
I posted last year a very possible and plausible scenario involving that woman researcher who was dismissed from a Canadian lab and later from UNC's research lab, and she returned to China where we know she was "hired" as a virus research leader at the Wuhan Lab. Many speculate given her track record the virus may have escaped due to crappy protocols.

And, it was because of this access to archives that the original film of the battle between the Bismarck and HMS Hood was located and is now available. The Ruskies confiscated a ton of German documents and film when they captured Berlin.
The bottom line is that the genetics of the virus do not point to it being man made.
Why would it have to be man made to weaponize it?
Think about it. Offer a single theory as to how one would go about weaponizing COVID without creating it in a lab. By the time you discover COVID and recognize its destructive potential it has spread out of control. You have to contain it first.
No you don’t! It did exactly what China, Iran and Russia wanted. And it was pulled off perfectly. And they haven’t even been questioned or punished by the commie Dems here in the states that love to take advantage of every chaos. In fact they love China for it!
