First, just to humor you, there is nothing in Articles IV and VI that says states/regions of the country can't secede from the union. Once no longer associated with that union, that country, it is irrelevant what the US Constitution reads, if one is NO LONGER part of it.

But, back to the only pertinent point, the South NO LONGER was part of the nation known as the United States of America. Of course, one can offer arguments, pro and con, on the concept of secession, but that is a discussion for another time. Once the South exercised its right to secede everything else was rendered moot. Then, the US, now a foreign nation, invaded the South, a sovereign nation.

Ya know, there is a similarity to the present day "argument" between Mainland China and Taiwan, at least in principle. And as Taiwan represents freedom and people exercising their God-given right to self-determination, and the Chicoms are the "establishment globalists" there is that similarity too.

I recently found a booklet, on our sun porch, in titled "One Nation Under God" published in 1997 by the Christian Defense Fund. But that to those who do not believe in Christianity would not be interested in it. It tells of how this country in the late 1700's in its fight for freedom was founded on Christian beliefs. It gives "quotes" by John Adams, Samuel Adams, that the Continental Congress ordered 20,000 Bibles for the American Troops. It tells about Alexis de Tocqueville and how the "Dec. of Indep." influenced his philosophy. He gives an account of an atheist who did not believe in God would not be allowed to testify by the judge. The article tells about Alexander Hamilton, Patrick Henry, Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, Abraham Lincoln, James Madison, Princeton Univ. and its first president. It is amazing just how much foresight those founders had. Copies are available if some one may be interested.

My wife and I just finished a 100 day "Campfire Revival" where actor Kirk Cameron (former atheist, turned Christian) based this on a book called "The American Covenant" which was very similar where it talked about how our country was founded on Christian values. The government was not designed to be a "nanny" state and have people live a life supported fully by the government. He strongly encouraged people of faith to get involved in helping elect leaders of faith to turn this country around.

It really doesn't matter what he actually says, but what he meant...you know, the way they treated bad orange man...EVERTHING HE said was taken literally. I suppose Biden acts more "presidential" and that gets him a pass.

Actually, what he said was about “his plan”, so there are two possible interpretations, one of which is technically correct. The other possible interpretation is obviously wrong, and thus your preference.

Come on, man! You know very well that is NOT what we have issues with Biden with. Very tangible policy concerns: energy independence, immigration, the Iran deal, immigration, jobs, not giving in to China....did I mention immigration?

April job numbers are HORRIBLE!!!!! Only 266K jobs added vs. 1 million expected. Unemployment rate jumped up to 6.1%.

Yes sir! Sleepy Joe et al are picking it up, and laying it down, eh!

Also, March numbers, meant to make Biden look good, have been drastically revised down. There were actually 146K fewer jobs added then previously reported.

The Biden failure is full speed ahead...and unfortunately, there is more bad news to come.
