Thought Griffen (note the correct spelling) had the potential to be a weekend starter or at least a middle or long reliever when he was a freshman under Ostrander and as a sophomore. But he seems to have regressed big time the last three years. If he hasn't regressed, it may be that everyone has a book on him now since this is his 5th year to play. Either way he certainly isn't fooling too many batters.
Evidently all our relievers and even one previous starter e.g. Follis, have regressed... which doesn’t make sense and can’t be accurate. After all it’s not like there’s something in the water. It’s more like our pitching coach isn’t really a pitching coach. It has to be said, he’s the common denominator.
Maybe because he beat Tech twice in 2018 as Little Rock’s pitching coach and everything he’s done has been at really small schools where the competition was high school level at best...
