Wonder if there is an element of natural resistance? We were always taught that playing outside and getting a little dirt under your nails was good for you. I was in the ER yesterday and while there, multiple doctors and nurses made it clear they don't take COVID seriously, even with another patient there in for COVID (they were strict to make him stay in his room, though) and one of the doctors recently returning to duty after having COVID. It was interesting being able to overhear the doctors and nurses opinions on this and other topics, some which make me question their commitment to the Hippocratic Oath.

- COVID is "weak" and "no big deal."
- Skipped steps and made assumptions for care that would have put the patient in worse condition if it weren't caught by another doctor.
- Think some people deserve what's happening to them.
- Wanted to discharge people (without treatment) just so could have easier shift. Or delay treatment to be next shift's problem.
