There's a school group from San Diego trapped in Afghanistan. Never mind why they thought that would be a good field trip, fact is they have been abandoned by the Biden administration.
Now I'm hearing the numbers are HUGE! 5,000 Americans and another 100,000+ Afghan citizens who have worked with us all are on a death watch.

Biden said today that we really can't trust the Taliban.. The State Dept gave the Taliban a list of all Americans, green card holders, Afghans that helped US in last 20 years . If you don't trust the Taliban, then why did you just identify everyone that the Taliban wants to seek out and destroy?
Get your facts straight. Then we can talk. They didn’t give the Taliban a list of “All Americans…”. We do have to coordinate with the Taliban to get Americans through the outer perimeter to the airport.
That is a result of a deal that Trump made that left Biden with two bad choices - commit more troops and extend the war or get out before our troops get attacked from the Taliban and terrorists alike. This terrorist attack kind of illustrates why we can’t just hang around with a waning presence and why this all needs to happen fast.
As far as trusting the Taliban - we don’t. But it is in the Taliban’s interest to help us stay on schedule with our withdrawal and keep their commitment (the deal with Trump) to providing security to US personnel.

There is a difference in providing the Taliban the names of people as they are coming through their checkpoint that they should let through and a list of “all Americans” in country so they can go hunt them down, right? As a practical matter, how else do you get the right people through the Taliban perimeter?
