Game should’ve never been that close. But they always will be with Captain prevent and captain field goal as our head coach.

We’re not cursed. We have a garbage coach that barely wins just enough games to keep his job. No more…no less. Tech just settles for mediocrity and that’s why our team will never be anything more than that. 2012 was the last ranked team. In that single year, Dykes did more for Tech than Skip has done during his entire tenure as a bulldog. During Skip’s time at at Tech, we haven’t beaten a single P5 in regular season and we’ve also been beat by a lowly instate FCS team (almost a second instate FCS team last weekend). You could refer to the last SMU matchup of 2017 but that was a unique situation, as Dykes inherited that team late in the season. You could refer to the bowl wins against Miami and Illinois but those were wins against bottom of the barrel P5s that should have never gotten a bowl invite in the first place. Then there’s a whole slew of single point losses reflecting games that Skip failed to finish (Arkansas, South Carolina, and MS State just to name a few).
It's just sad the complete breakdown in these games under Skips reign as head coach
Basically in my mind.. we are 0-3... last week was a fluke... should never have been as close as it was.. I hate to root against Tech.. I actually LOVE Tech.. but I have come to the conclusion that the only way we will see any type of change in football is if we lay an egg this season.. I really hate it for the players etc. we have the talent to beat most anyone in FBS.. the coaching is not there..
ETA: I think we have some really good asst coaches. I believe that they are only allowed to coach their squads during practice but are muzzled during games.. Maybe I'm wrong.. but it seems this way..
The alumni that are keeping him employed already don’t show up for most of the games. They don’t care about the regular alumni/fans. The university has been shit poor at generating alumni support forever now. Anyone who thinks people should simply give money because they have degrees from Tech are fools. My tuition paid for those. If you want money/more money from me put a good product on the field. There are 10,000’s of alumni who haven’t heard from Tech in years. I actually tried to help teach out to a lot of the DFW ones a couple years ago. It’s sad but the sadness is only equal to what is happening under Holtz now.

Look on the bright side. At least we'll get some Sports Center exposure out of this. Like we did with 4th and Forever.
next week it goes down even more. The product is actually better but not better enough to overcome the las 4 years
Especially with North Texas being blown out of Apogee in the first quarter by UAB. It's 17-0 with still over 4 minutes left in the 1st.
