Wake up...A lot of our alumni are LSU fans!

Given a choice, they would rather stay home in Shreveport, Monroe, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Jonesboro, Winfield, et all and watch an LSU game than drive to Ruston to watch a Tech game. Some of you on this board need to get a grip on reality!

Sure. We want more of them in Ruston on Saturdays. Games that won’t fit in Ruston should be moved to Shreveport.

A LOT of work to do until we can draw a crowd that big, but that’s the goal.

And you snowflakes that are too delicate or scared to come to Shreveport can watch on TV! 😂

I live in Abilene Texas and make the 6/7 hour drive 3 to 5 time a season to spend $175 plus a night to stay in the Ruston Hampton Inn to watch a shitty game and I have to listen or read the post on BB&B from some of you that are within an hour's drive! Puleeze!

Alumni that aren’t fans yet will never likely be strong supporters. Have to win them as students or children of passionate alumni.

I guess Arkansas played at CSU fairly recently. But these schools just make so much money by buying a home game.

They want 7 home games per year. And specifically here, they're both giving up a conference game per year at their true homes already.

I just don't think they'd agree to play us there.

There is no need to schedule any game in Shreveport unless you have a crowd guaranteed to be in excess of 35K. Under that you keep the game in Ruston.

Typical LA Tech reaction. I can talk to you about "Markets" until I'm blue in the face, and you still won't get it. Guys like you and Dwayne ARE THE PROBLEM, when you say stuff like this. LA Tech will never get into a better conference with thinking like yours.

We need to do both. We don’t graduate enough each year to get us where we want to be.

EW has a lot of work to do to get our program out of the mentality that we can’t do X because we don’t have enough money or fans. Go out and raise money! Make the events something that draws in new people.

Scheduling in Shreveport means nothing to the local businesses. Let Shreveport fend for itself. What’s our should be ours.

Fine. We'll get you and FD to pitch our wares to the AAC when they are evaluating markets and they only see Lincoln Parish.

Shreveport doesn't need to entice Tech. Shreveport market has already made the decision that LSU is the cornerstone for their fan support and Tech is just a side note because "I sent my Kid their!" attitude. Tech needs to make a market of Shreveport and work with Shreveport to do so but I think that train has already left the station when Glover and crew's efforts back a few years ago was thrown in the trash!

Wait, wait. I thought we wanted to appeal to Shreveport? Ruston’s businesses may not like losing out on one game. But the idea behind having a game in Shreveport is to give them a chance to see Tech in their backyard, host a larger crowd, and ideally have a good opponent.

This doesnt have to be a yearly thing. We could schedule a big opponent game over there every other year or so. Strive for 7 “home” games in those years, where we still have 6 true home games.

yeah i get it but why have the biggest bonanza game be in shreveport? I’d rather it be in ruston for all the people who provide services and support this town. This one big game would probably be worth 3 or even 4 normal ruston games.

Agreed. The only thing drawing in alumni that aren’t fans yet are top tiered opponents at home. Until we can’t seat everyone at the Joe have the games in Ruston. Alumni that aren’t fans yet might be surprised by the improvements on campus and in Ruston, things they won’t see with a game in Shreveport.
