You haven’t ever heard the joke about blinker fluid? We used to rag people who didn’t use a turn signal that their car must be low on blinker fluid.

Edited to rectify a missed opportunity.

I suppose the peeve of the day would be our dumb language.

Remember -- English is really just 3 or 4 mini-languages stacked on top of each other, all under a trench coat.

    I can recommend this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001JOHCHU...ng=UTF8&btkr=1

Well, in your defense it was apparently May of 2012. So, you know, not yesterday.

The "excuse the hell out of me" was because you were late to the Hunger Games discussion.

Well excuse the hell outta me ...

Just before those, I read John McWhorter's Our Magnificent Bastard Tongue. If you enjoy histories of English, this one is different -- I'd even say better -- than others.

Check out Not Just Bikes on youtube. Fantastic channel explaining what's wrong with how cities and streets are designed in the US and Canada.

I'll continue the parade and say James McWhorter is a fantastic writer and academic with some very intriguing views on American society. He'd surprise many posters on this site.

They’re focused solely on cars. I live within easy walking distance of several bars and restaurants, and would visit them by foot or bike except that I would almost certainly be killed due to the lack of crosswalks and decent sidewalks.

That I have to consider getting a CUV, SUV, or truck as my next vehicle to be able to see while driving at night.

That Christmas is considered over after the 25th. The twelve days of Christmas exists for a reason. I’d like for lights and decorations to stay up longer.

Agree. First weekend of January is traditionally when my stuff comes down.

But no Carnival decorations before Jan 6. That's bad juju.
