Many have started listening to the nurses who actually are the ones spending time with patients. They, moreso than doctors who see a patient for 18 seconds and leave, are people to be listened to.

BTW, one of the big problems we are having with testing right now is that Omicron reproduces 70 times faster than delta. In most cases it is reproducing in the throat rather than the nose. As a result, people can be symptomatic and transmissible with omicron BEFORE they will test positive on a nasal swab based test.

Some pundits are saying the omicron variant is great news as it has accelerated the herd immunity thingy without humanity having to pay a high casualty price for it. Unlike the Spanish Flu when it reached its zenith only after several months of its highest death rate.

And I wouldn’t call a disease that is still killing people and putting so many people in hospitals “very mild”. I think the word you are looking for is “milder.”
