Thanks for all the updates, but OOC, Saint Louis is the only squad I'm interested in that's out of the norm. Hopefully more to come?

New Mexico will host Louisiana Tech as part of its 23-24 non-conference schedule, per multiple sources.
So with that schedule if we went undefeated (not much danger of that I know) and then lost in the finals of the CUSA tourney, would we even make the NIT?
Date Opponent RPI NET @ Saint Louis 55 99 @ New Mexico 74 54 Mon, Nov 6 @ Colorado State 143 110 Thurs, Nov 9 UNT Dallas (NAIA) Mon, Nov 13 Lyon College (NAIA) Thurs, Nov 16 @ ULM 274 296 Tue, Nov 21 Southern Utah 89 113 McNeese State 339 321 Sat, Dec 2 Nicholls State 255 263 Tue, Dec 5 @ SFA 148 138 Sat, Dec 9 vs. UL-L 40 89 Wed. Dec 20 @ Seattle 115 143 Sat, Dec 30 @ Grand Canyon 92 104
There are 353 NCAA D1 Teams - Top 25% = 88.25; Top 50% 176.5
Using RPI 3 of our 11 (27%) DI opponents were Top 25% last year with 2 just outside of that range; 8 (73%) opponents in Top 50%, leaving 3 outside - ULM (regular opponent), Nicholls & McNeese (who should be much improved this year).
& Yes I know NET is what the committee uses - 1 Top 25% (1 just outside); but still 8 inside Top 50%.
And that doesn’t include conference opponents
SHSU NET 65/ RPI 47
NMSU 189/223 / Let’s just say last year doesn’t count
Liberty 44/39
MTSU 117/67
WKU 177/142

UTEp 192/195
FIU 218/207
Jax State 241/263
Why would RPI or Net or any such ranking be a concern, even a flashing moment of thought, for a Tech MBB fan? The only way we dance is to win the autobid by winning the conference tourney. And that hasn't happened in over 30 years now.
