Bless their P5 hearts. 4 teams in a mythical national championship tournament.

Meanwhile in Division 2, my team enters week 4 (semifinals) of their 28-team bracket. 28 TEAMS! It ain't perfect but the pissed off factor starts with the 29th team and above. . . . not the 5th.
4 teams, 8 teams. What a mythical event.

I haven’t tried very hard to figure it out. Has someone found a site/sites that will tell us who is sitting out or has entered the portal from the 4 playoff teams? It would be ideal if they distinguished starters and backups.

Notre Dame 40 Oregon State 8
    Missouri 14 Ohio State 3

Two HAPPY results from the bowls yesterday.

If Liberty can beat Oregon CUSA will be positioned to win the Bowl Challenge Cup with a .750 winning percentage.

    Just a thought.

A depleted FSU vs Alabama would have been a good game. And UGA vs Michigan would have been better than Michigan vs Alabama.

FSU crapped their pants and just need to STFU! No way did they ever deserve to be in the CFP. And don't give me the BS that they were missing X number of starters tonight. That's part of their problem and the reason they never deserved a playoff berth. UGA, on the other hand, who actually got shafted, showed up and showed the college football world what a real championship program looks like.

LOL, Georgia beats the FSU 3rd team. That was impressive.

But to your point, it does point out the difference between a team with character and a team-oriented culture vs one without those characteristics.

I suspect the FSU situation will be the case more often than not for teams built primarily through the portal.

The transfer portal should not be open until after the end of the bowls and playoffs. And there should be a participation requirement for all athletes receiving NIL.

This is not woke. Your thought applies reason and logic. Reason and logic are only applied to Title IX issues...unless a man wants to compete with the girls.

I agree that the portal should not open until after the national championship. Will players sign an NIL deal that doesn’t allow them to sit out if they choose? I think all college jerseys should be sold without a name or number on them. Let a fan pay to put a number on it if they wish. All shirts, hats, and all other official merch should not have a face, name or other identifier on it. If a kid wants to start his own clothing line and has the money or sponsors to do it, then so be it. I know fans will show up to see a better player or a better team, so ticket sales, concessions, and booster money will go up with success. Why not separate the athletic departments from the schools entirely? Let them all make money based on their production by a profit sharing model. Coaches all the way down to the 3rd string kicker. No more contracts or scholarships. It’s a job and you are only worth what you produce today.

THere's that pesky thing called the semester that makes that impossible.

Obvious solution is just bringing the old transfer rules back.

So, it’s safe to assume Bo Nix is not going to enter the draft. Otherwise he would have sat out today, right?

Must’ve been a lot of really bad calls.
