    Re: President Trump

Supreme Court hearing underway right now, hearing arguments on the merits (there aren't any) of the Colorado ballot ban and how the SCOTUS is likely to rule on that and other states' attempts to deny Americans the right to vote...this is a direct attack on democracy. The lib judges are harping on the origination of Sec 3 of the 14th Amendment and the thugs representing Colorado are trying to equate Donald Trump to Jefferson Davis. One of Trump's goofy lawyers agreed with the notion that January 6th was a "riot" but not an "insurrection" which opened the door for a libtard lawyer to try to paint them as the same, just different terms for the same action.

The future of our Constitutional Republic and the future of the free world hangs in the balance. I have zero faith that the 5 so-called "conservative" justices will look at the big picture and rule so that it favors Trump. We know the four commies will vote against Trump. Probably that RINO Roberts will side with the lefties, should it happen.

Then what? This will effectively destroy the Constitution such that other amendments will be bastardized to fit someone's current agenda.

Well, based on the questions asked, especially by the three very liberal justices, this decision might be 9-0 in favor of Trump. Possibly it'll be 8-1 with Sotomayer voting to support Colorado's anti-American maneuver. But looks good and that real justice will prevail.

    Re: President Trump

Of course, the Colorado case is just one of those bogus cases hanging over Trump's head. Many (most) SCOTUS pundits are predicting the ruling issued by the SC will address all the other pending state ballot tampering measures, from Maine to the other 11 states, effectively shutting them all down and the SC making it clear not to bother them again with such nonsense. That would be in everyone's best interest.

Then there's the presidential immunity case which will be going to the SCOTUS after the commie DC appeals' court ruled that POTUSs are not immune to prosecution. Well, I think the SC will reverse that, but if they don't then Billy Boy Klinton, obummer, and crooked Biden will all be facing criminal charges soon. Georgie Bush? What did "W" do that might get him in trouble too? I don't recall anything. I do know Clinton, obummer, and Biden are deep, very deep, into criminal activity for which they should go to prison for. So, go ahead, remove presidential immunity...

it looks very likely that the decision will be unanimous (as it should be), but i think jackson is the most likely hold-out.

also, there is no such thing as presidential immunity, and it's a silly argument. trump should fire all his lawyers, but he's surrounded by yes men, so he can't see how silly all this is.

if they can prove criminal charges against former presidents, they should bring them.

If so, then Billy Boy Clinton, obummer, and Biden (who openly admitted he stole classified documents in his presser last night and that he is competent enough to stand trial) should all be charged with various crimes. But they won't be because the charges against Trump are all bogus and politically motivated. And those "three stooges" are all dems and dems never have to pay for their sins...on this side of the grave.

The Constitution has not been relevant since 1964. It is already long dead.

Wrong! my eyes are wide open when it comes to Trump, and I absolutely like what I see. It's you anti-Trumpers who have allowed irrational hatred to cloud your judgement.

i'm open to see your explanation. maybe i just misunderstand the argument, and you can explain to me why (1) the leader of free world should be immune from criminal prosecution and (2) where that immunity is found in the constitution?

You said "there is no such thing as presidential immunity".

Courts have ruled many times that the president is immune from civil damages.

I know where you are going with this because you obviously get your information from your fellow haters in the drive by media...

Trump hasn't been charged with "insurrection" only accused. You and the other haters won't dare actually charge him because the disclosure required would expose what really happened that day.

    Re: President Trump

I'm not a Constitutional lawyer or scholar, but I can read and in the 14th Amendment Section 5 clearly states only Congress has the power to impose the provisions of Section 3 of the 14th. Congress has NOT acted in Trump's case as it pertains to January 6th. I hope the SCOTUS includes that fact in their opinion. Of course, beyond the legal aspects is this fact: THERE WAS NO INSURRECTION ON JANUARY 6, 2021. At worst it was a protest that got orchestrated by the commies into an unfortunate mini-riot. And not even a riot. If you watch all of the video, most of which still has not been released since this is a major cover-up, the "rioters" peacefully waltzed around inside the capital with Capitol Police escorting them and engaged in friendly conversations. The only violence that day was committed by that piece of shit police thug who murdered Ms. Babbitt, and by the plants placed in the crowd to try to incite a real riot.

BTW, what is the proper spelling of "capital" and "capitol" in this context? I get those mixed up.
