Today’s game management around the weather was horrible! Obviously it’s tough dealing with what the weather will allow but Tech’s communications and updates to the extending delays was atrocious. As is so typical with Tech they get the easiest things all wrong. I finally left the park because nobody in authority cared enough to tell anyone what was going on. What a joke…
Where they able to get the game in today
AMEN. This time I am in complete agreement with your complaint. The athletic director and his bevy of assistants must think that every Tech fan is a techie. Well, we aren’t. You are on the text list which has been very inconsistent in who does and does not receive game change notices.
The simple solution is email notices. Those who get the text notices may get a double dose, but that's better than half the crowd not knowing.
I still get crap from USM and Texas in my email and all I did was purchase tickets for a series there.
It is thundering here in Natchitoches right now. More bad weather coming today. What happens if the games can't be played today? I suppose CUSA/Tech/FIU will have to get together and reschedule the games for some future date. Can FIU stick around to Monday or Tuesday?
The forecast is for decreasing rain/thunderstorms for later today. Might be a late afternoon, into early evening finish of the series.
Just got a text message from Tech Athletics. Game two, resumption, will begin at 11am. Game 3 to follow.
