I rather we have the Homecoming game on Saturday afternoon/evening with no internet tv broadcast.

Homecoming on Friday night (on Halloween) is stupid.

Yeah, it's being sold as a big win and of course you have to talk it up. I'm sure you can make a Halloween night game on tv fun for current students.

But, it's still a weeknight game. During the best weather of the year. For homecoming. I guess it's better than Tuesday of that week? I assume that we went and fought for this. I hope it didn't cost too much of whatever political capital we have with the conference/network. Because it probably wasn't worth pounding the table in my opinion.

I don’t think it cost us any political capital. There are already 2 other games that night - 1 CUSA & 1 SBC.

This is the dumbest move our president and AD have allowed since the rebranding of Women's sports.

That question is really revealing. We have worked ourselves into a situation where there are zero good options. All are terrible.

On the Tuesday? That's the "favor" they're doing us. Letting us out of being their Tuesday night programming.

That week's schedule is weird. I wish we could have worked to get Liberty or WKU to move their game to Friday.

Yeah. It's this. It's not all on Tech of course. But just like "no money, streaming only on Saturday with no attention" vs. "weeknights on CBSSN for a nickel and maybe a few more eyeballs" is a terrible choice, so is Sept/late Nov homecoming vs. Friday night Halloween.

You are missing the point. This is a total cluster that begins with bad decisions made by our president and AD. They continue to defend an incompetent DEI hire and we suffer for it. Of course, like the great bureaucrats they are they will blame circumstances beyond their control.
