    Re: Russia

Putin responded to the US-Ukraine deal with his "May Day" barrage of attacks on Ukrainian little old ladies and kids. He's a PIECE OF SHIT! As bad as Hitler and Stalin. A murdering prick who needs to be tortured and executed on live public TV as an example to other murdering pricks.

Medvedev, Putin's evil right-hand henchman, declared war on the US with one of his typical delusional rants on TV. Says the US has entered into a deal with Nazi Ukraine to steal Russian assets, i.e. Ukraine's natural resources. Many pundits say if Putin is removed from power, in whatever manner that might occur, then this lunatic will take Putin's place. Medvedev served as president of Russia from 2012-2020 but then resigned allowing Putin to become the fascist leader of Russia, and he accepted the position of deputy director of every sector of the Russian government i.e. Putin's right-hand man. Actually, Medvedev was first elected president in 2008, serving until he was promoted to prime minister, then ran for the office of president again in 2012.

Medvedev was the clown participating in Killary Klinton's stupid "reset button" event. He did try to make some reforms to the Russian government but eventually knuckled under to the pressure of the commie hardliners, especially Putin. Today he is official spokesman for Putin, often going on Russian network TV to spew hate and threats against anything not Russian. He's a lunatic and perhaps even more dangerous than Putin. He needs to be publicly executed too.

    Re: Russia

For the most part the past 72 hours have been relatively quiet on the battle front. The biggest news is another Ukrainian incursion into Belgorod, but this was only special forces, supported by an infantry company. It's a heavily wooded, swampy area with one paved road so no way can/will Ukraine attempt to send in armored vehicles. The road is closely watched by both sides by drones, and it would be suicide to send vehicles on that road. The Ukrans pushed about 2 miles across the border along about a 3-mile front and stopped at a huge swamp. The Russians countered by deploying troops on the opposite side of the swamp. Meanwhile, Ukraine is still holding ground elsewhere in Belgorod and in Kursk, but both of those have shrunk. Neither side has made any moves in the past several days.

Elsewhere along the 600-mile front there has been only very small gains by each side. "All Quiet on the Ukrainian Front" sums up the past 72 hours.

Reports that Russian ops are planning "false flag" fake attacks on May 9th so Ukraine can be blamed for violating Putin's unilateral 3-day ceasefire. I think Ukraine should attack for real. Ukraine has stated quite clearly, they have not agreed to Putin's ceasefire for May 8-10. So, they are within their rights to attack. And, as has been pointed, most of the "Victory Day" parade is current active Russian military personnel. They are a legit target for Ukraine to strike anywhere, anytime they want. Go for it!

    Re: Russia

Ukrainian sea drone shot down a Russian SU-30 fighter-bomber! This is huge. According to reports, being reported on two YouTube channels this morning, the jet was flying low and slow over the Black Sea on a patrol??? probably. It was about 1,000 feet up and flying about as slow as a SU-30 can fly. It's a two-seater and there are no reports if the pilots survived. One YouTuber speculates they probably did not since there was practically no time to react. The sea drone launched a surface to air missile they have been fitted with but heretofore have only been used to attack Russian helicopters.

Again, so far, only two sources are reporting this. What is clear something happened since there are other independent reports of a Ukran sea drone engaging "something" over the Black Sea. It might have been a Russian drone or a helicopter, not a SU-30 jet. If this proves to be true, this is a first.

CONFIRMED!! Russian SU-30 literally blown from the sky, both pilots confirmed dead. A second SU-30, the wingman, was also hit but had time to take evasive action and is thought to have landed at their base on Crimea. CONFIRMED NOW: second SU-30 jet is a total loss, that crew did survive, with injuries as it crash-landed at the Crimea base after being struck by a Ukran sea drone missile. The plane is a total loss.

To follow up on this report one YouTuber chronicled how successful Ukraine's sea drones have become. They have an amazing track record. The anti-aircraft missiles they carry, they carry two, have an effective range of 12 miles and can strike targets up to about 10,000 feet altitude. They are "home grown" missiles, designed and manufactured in Ukraine.

President Z issued a stern warning to all "dignitaries" to stay away from Putin's May 9th "Victory Day" parade. Period.

But, who are these so-called "dignitaries"? Hitler and Stalin are dead. Xi? Fat "Rocket Boy"? Steven Segall? Tucker Carlson? What a lineup of stupid losers! Hope they all show up and Z fires a missile up their asses.

Best part is the once-feared Putin is begging President Z to agree to the 3-day ceasefire so he can have his silly parade. My, my, how things have changed.

    Re: Russia

Seems the North Koreans are being sent into Donbas now to aid the flailing Russians there. Reports say 8,000 NK troops, which is 6,000 of the original 12,000 reinforced with an additional 2,000 just sent by Fat Boy "Rocket Man." Months ago Russia and North Korea were denying the presence of NK soldiers in Russia. Then they switched to, well, they are in Russia going through joint training. Then it was, well, they will only be deployed in Kursk to help "repel the invaders." That latter part was true, they were deployed in Kursk, 12,000 of them, of which only 6,000 survived.

Ukraine is still holding a slice of Kursk and Belgorod. Both within a few miles of the border but in Russia still.

    Re: Russia

Putin has moved 200 air defense systems to Moscow to guard against Ukrainian attacks on May 9th. Last night Ukraine sent 4 drones, just 4, with a target of the Russian Ministry of Defense building. All 4 were shot down and crashed into residential sections of Moscow, causing damage to houses and apartment buildings. To send just 4 drones was obviously just a test or more likely a reminder that Ukraine can easily reach Moscow with their drones. I agree with one YouTuber who says Z really is not interested in attacking Putin's parade, but instead just wanted to tweak Putin and more importantly get him to relocate air defense units to Moscow making more important targets vulnerable. The Ukran intelligence working with anti-Putin partisans will identify where those systems were moved from and launch attacks against those targets.

Russia made some small gains, on the ground, in the past 24 hours and as usual paid a heavy price for it. The Russian strategy, right now, is very obvious. They are trying to capture Pokrovsk and Lyman and are trying to keep Toretsk. They are not making much progress in any of those efforts.

    Re: Russia

I love when Ukraine exposes the lies of the Putin regime. The Putin propagandists have been saying for weeks they have 100% retaken all of Kursk. This morning the Ukrainian 225th Assault Regiment released live video of their current advance in Kursk, reaching the Seine River which at this point is 12 miles inside of Russia. They completely routed a contingent of Russians guarding a pontoon bridge and then proceeded to destroy the bridge. The 225th commander was speaking, describing this action and also chuckling at the notion they were not in Kursk, Russia. "Yes, here we are." They showed a sign on a building of the small village there, the name of the place.

Now, of course, 12 miles is not exactly "deep" into Kursk, but the point is Ukrainian units are still there. They are continuing the original mission started in August 2024 of protecting Sumy by striking the key highways into Sumy that pass through this part of Kursk. The destruction of the pontoon bridge is a small part of this strategy.

    Re: Russia

The best defense is a good offense.

Following that edict Ukraine launched two more incursions into Kursk overnight. Both have met with limited success, in one of them, Ukraine burst through stout Russian defenses along the border and penetrated about 6 miles. But there the Ukrainian forces were stretched thin, and a Russian counterattack stopped them and drove them back several miles. The other incursion reached the town of Tyotkino, about 10 miles inside of Russia, Kursk Oblast. After punching through the dragon teeth and a trench, Ukrainian forces encountered zero Russian forces, until Tyotkino. There they stalled.

Some pundits question the purpose of these cross-border incursions. Ukraine has not officially responded, but it is speculated they are two-fold, 1) to embarrass Putin and his propagandists, and 2) (more practically) to force the Russians to constantly respond thus tying up their units that could be used for offensive operations in Donbas.

As of this time, there are four separate incursions by Ukraine in Kursk and two in Belgorod.

    Re: Russia

Ukraine is winning at Pokrovsk. They are driving back the Russians along that whole front. Each day there are small Ukrainian gains, sometimes a street in a town, sometimes taking another woods line along a field, but in every instance a Ukran victory. So, the Russians have started attacking in the exact opposite direction 180 degrees away from Pokrovsk, which is very lightly defended by Ukraine and is 90% farms and open fields, with a few tiny farming villages scattered about. The Ukrans have countered with FPV drones which are enjoying a field day catching Russians out in the open. But, despite their losses, the Russians are gaining ground in that southwesterly direction heading to the border between Donetsk Oblast and the next oblast. Putin wants his forces to cross into the next oblast, even though it is all farmland, so he can claim some kind of success.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has stepped up their drone attacks on Moscow. All four of Moscow's airports are currently shut down, no flights allowed to land at any of them. Russia has moved a total of 280 air defense units to Moscow and has deployed an additional 1,000 troops plus brought in scores of policemen from other cities to provide more security for Putin's May 9th parade. Commercial air traffic is shut down, so how can Putin's visiting dignitaries arrive? The nearest airports large enough to accommodate commercial airliners are in St. Petersburg and Novgorod, 490 miles and 360 miles, respectively. Will they fly into those cities and bus into Moscow? Of course, Ukrainian drones can easily reach both of those cities too.

All you Putin supporters had better sit this one out. Don't go. As one pundit pointed out it is very likely Russian air defense will accidently shoot down a commercial airliner, which they have done three times already since 2022, mistaking it for an attacking Ukrainian drone. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Xi's plane is shot down!!

    Re: Russia

Two more TOUCHDOWNS scored by Ukraine!

    1) Russian hidden drone central control center in Kursk has been destroyed. Confirmed center is gone as are the 20 operators inside. Took Ukrainians months of tracking flight patterns of Russian drones, coming and going to finally pinpoint the control center. Thinking they were invulnerable to discovery and thus had no defenses, the center was easily targeted and struck.

    2) Russia's best, most expensive, mobile radar unit has been destroyed while operating in Donbas. This radar system has been refined to track even small drones up to 150 miles away. It has been a major thorn in the side of Ukrainian drone operators, even though they have managed to enjoy successes. The radar system was mounted on an 18-wheel rubber tire truck, highly mobile. It had its own defense system, small rockets and a Gatlin gun, plus two Russian anti-aircraft/anti-drone units were assigned to protect it. Mostly the Russians thought by never letting it stay in one place too long, the Ukrans would not be able to send enough drones to attack it successfully. And, for the past 2 years that had proven to be true. Well...again by carefully tracking its movements, mapping a pattern, the Ukrans correctly guessed where it would next be moved to. So, the Ukrans sent a swarm of drones, probably 300+, to attack it before it had a chance to set up and start radar detecting. Bam! Kaboom! The Ukrans nailed it!

Score two huge wins for the good guys!
