Ukraine Agrees to Terms of US Peace Deal..

    quote:

A U.S. official told ABC News on Tuesday that a Ukrainian delegation has agreed with the United States on the terms of a potential peace deal.

United States Army Secretary Dan Driscoll held secret talks on Monday with a Russian delegation in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to follow up on this weekend’s talks with Ukraine in Geneva that were intended to move the Ukraine peace process forward, a U.S. official told ABC News.

"The Ukrainians have agreed to the peace deal," the U.S. official said. "There are some minor details to be sorted out but they have agreed to a peace deal."

John Kasich, the MIC, and other Never Trumpers in the DC area are not going to be happy with this.

This is being widely reported by ABC, Rueters, various foreign media, and several YouTubers...but I would wait for real confirmation before accepting it as fact. And, if this is true, and it might be, then this probably President Z playing Trump et al like a fiddle. Putin will NOT agree and has already publicly stated he/Russia will not agree to the terms in any of the three recently proposed peace plans. So, President Z is saying, sure we agree, knowing full well that Putin won't agree to it thus casting Putin as the bad guy in Trump's view. The Ukrans are very clever, so this might be the ploy. We'll see.

And, the Ukrainian parliament, the RADA, has to approve such peace agreements and most observers say no way will it pass the RADA. All three of the recent plans are pure BS. They sellout Ukraine and reward Putin for his aggression.

    Re: Russia

It was confirmed that that Turkish LNG tanker, the MT Orinda, was delivering American LNG to Ukraine. The day before this attack the US-Ukraine inked a deal for Ukraine to buy American LNG. This tanker was diverted from Greece to deliver it's LNG to Ukraine as a sign of the deal. Putin couldn't stand it and ordered the attack on the ship.

Putin has attacked and destroyed an American company's electronic plant in western Ukraine, that too a deliberate attack to send Trump/US a message. Now he blatantly attacks a Turkish tanker, a NATO member carrying American LNG and....what? Trump and J.D. Vance still condemn Ukraine as being the bad actors. Someone is getting huge kickbacks in Russian rubles...(can you say the Trump and Vance clans?)

    Re: Russia

RFU News just reported Putin has (again) rejected this peace plan.

Putin's economy is tanking. Back in 2022 Russia had 407 tons of gold bars. They are having to sell their gold on the open market to fund the Russian government. They are down to about 180 tons and are continuing to sell gold.

Russian oil is selling at HUGE discounts. It was reported last week that Russia is getting only $36 per barrel. And now a recent contract is reported at just $7 per barrel. No details included but this seems a bit extreme. The $36 price is confirmed, but just $7?

My bad, I misread the article. This is a another $7 per barrel discount offered by Putin to any nation who will buy his oil.

I am trying to understand what Trump/Vance's love affair is with Putin. So, I rationalize it into some payback scheme. There are no moral reasons to support Putin. So, maybe it's just "business." There are those who are openly accusing Trump of wanting to enrich himself, and his family, with business deals with Putin/Russia to come. One, the TDS-suffering moron Jake Broe on his YouTube channel, says Trump dreams of building Trump Towers all across Ukraine and Russia!

Yes, I support President Z and Ukraine in this war. Ukraine is a democracy, and Russia is an evil dictatorship. I choose to stand with the democracy. I suppose you can choose to stand with whomever you want. I'll say this right now too, I support Taiwan in a war with the Chicoms, should that occur. I certainly hope it never does.

One more thing, as mentioned many times, this is NOT about Ukraine per se. My position is an anti-Putin stance. He is pure evil and will export his evil onto other nations. Ukraine is fighting the "good fight."

    Re: Russia

The Orcs are really trying, I'll say that for 'em. More large, and small, assaults launched across the whole P-M front. North, up toward Dobropillia, the Russians used heavy equipment, reportedly 8 tanks, and another 15 armored vehicles (IFVs and APCs) and a variety of other vehicles in one of their largest such attacks in many, many months. This is the region where the 1st Azov Corps was last reported to be operating in. I say "last reported" because the 1st Azov is often redeployed to meet serious threats and don't usually remain anywhere for very long. No news, yet, of any results, any details of this advance. Also, Ukraine has other elite units operating in the P-M theater, such as the 7th Rapid Response Corps, plus other veteran units. So, maybe the 1st Azov was no longer needed there.

In Pokrovsk, the situation has stabilized with the successes of the 425th Assault Regiment. Russians still hold a portion of southern Pokrovsk, and have scattered, isolated pockets who are being systemically eliminated. Just watched a video of Ukran FPV drones, using thermal imaging, entering buildings and eliminating Russian soldiers one by one. You can't hide from thermal imaging.

No new news from the Huliaipole area. The Russians gobbled up some 22 square miles of farmland but have paused because they now face a strong defensive line of dug-in Ukrainians. Reported that close to 40,000 Russian troops have been deployed in this area. They are currently facing less than 6,000 Ukrainians, although some reinforcements are being sent in. Mostly, Ukraine is just waiting for those 40,000 fools to start crossing the miles of open farmland, now that Ukraine is ready with drones and artillery. The Russians achieved their successful advance under the cover of a very thick fog, and it was a surprise advance, catching Ukraine unprepared to deal with it. Such preparations have been made now.

Lots of trouble for Putin on the homefront. More on that later.

    Re: Russia

On Huliaipole...the Russians call this city Guliaipole, so if you're watching the news and see it mentioned this way, know it is the same city. The "G" is how the city is pronounced in Russian language, the "H" is Ukrainian. Like Spanish and Portuguese, similar languages, with some differences.

Putin, in his press conference today, said his forces will not try to capture "Guliaipole" but will instead isolate and bypass it, trapping the Ukrainian defenders inside. Ahhh, I think the Orcs will do neither. The Russians are relatively safe where they are, some 5 miles from the city, and it's all open ground in between. If all 40,000 Orcs attacked at once, barely 10,000 would reach the outer defenses of the city and then they'll be facing entrenched Ukrainian units. Russia has been bombing Ukrainian positions in and around Huliaipole with 500 and 1,000 pound glide bombs. This is the beginning of another long siege, it will take Russia 18 months to subdue the Ukrans at and near Huliaipole. And the price will be way more than 40,000 dead Orcs. They can't "go around" as Putin boasted today for the same reason an attack would fail. It's all open ground, flat farmland for miles in every direction. But, those poor saps will be ordered to try.

    Re: Russia

Good news from Kupiansk. Ukrainian units have now flanked the Russians who are hunkered down in the northern suburbs of the city. They have held that ground for nearly a month and are trying to protect a long, vulnerable supply line. About a month ago, or so, a battalion of the 1st Azov Corps attempted to cut that road but ran into very stiff resistance at a small town on that highway. They penetrated the Russian-held salient for about 6 of the nearly 7-mile pocket. It would have been too costly to try to take the town and then hold it against what would have been a huge Russian counterattack. So, the Ukrainians pulled back. But, they have harassed Russian supply convoys with drones and artillery.

Now, those estimated 400 Russians held up in northern Kupiansk are at risk of encirclement. The perfect karma for the lies the Kremlin has been saying, that they have encircled the Ukrainians there.

    Re: Russia

Two of Putin's shadow fleet oil tankers, the Kairos and the Verat, experienced catastrophic explosions, external explosions, in the Black Sea just outside of Turkey's territorial waters. Neither ship is expected to survive, and the crews are being evacuated. So far the cause has not been identified. It could have been Ukrainian sea drones, but one source is citing Russian mines. Apparently, Russia mined the western Black Sea back in 2022 in an attempt to halt trade/commerce to and from Ukraine. According to this source the Russians used inferior chains/anchors which have rusted and have been breaking. Then currents carry the mines floating across the Black Sea. Could be these two tankers struck one of Putin's now loosed mines. However, the two tankers were about 15 miles apart following the same course and the two explosions occurred within minutes of each other. This indicates some kind of coordinated attack. Will have to wait for more news on this. Both tankers were flying the Gambia flag, but Gambia denies registering either tanker. They were both empty returning to port, after off-loading their oil in England two weeks ago. Ah hah, European nations still buying Putin's oil.

And they enrich Putin (and his disgusting war effort in Ukraine) while stopping all exploratory drilling in the North sea, which would add to their ability to provide their own energy. All the while expecting the US to send our taxpayer treasures to the region to save them from themselves.

I wonder how many Ukrainians have died from missiles and bombs purchased with European funds garnered from purchases of Russian oil.

It's like Biden is both head of the EU and the Prime Minister of England these days.

Confirmed, it was Ukrainian sea drones that struck the two tankers. One, the Kairos, is gone, all 25 crewmen rescued by Turkish coast guard, the entire crew, all 25, are either Russian or Chinese. The other tanker, the Verat, has managed to limp into the Port of Novo, due to it being empty and riding high, but it has two huge holes in the hull and might be beyond repair.
