A HUGE Banner on the Tech campus (maybe several) that states:
WEARING LSU GEAR IS A SLAP IN THE FACE OF OUR TEAM
GO BLUE!
I would like to see those going up all around the campus. It is time to address this issue head on. I still like the old idea of going to every small town around Ruston and having a lsu t-shirt trade in. Get a big Tech bus and have signs up (advertise in the paper first, of course) stating that if you bring in your old lsu t-shirt, you can trade it for free for a Tech one. It is a little bit of an investment (gasp!) but WELL worth the cost. You can do that on the Tech campus, as well, and in Shreveport. Have music, food, and make it a party. Put it in conspicuous places.
Talk about a great way to kick off game week with lsu.

I like this idea. Also put an article in the Tech Talk explaining why being a corndogger is disrespectful to our team.

Doesn't make sense to me why someone would choose to go to school at Tech, then turn around and wear LSU gear at the school. If you love LSU so much, why not just go to school there? You chose Tech, now support them. They're YOUR school after all.
Doesn't seem like a hard concept. Maybe it's just me.
I called out a local Doctor at the game for wearing purple. Don't know where he got his undergrad, but went to Med school at the purple place. He said, "I'm an LSU fan!?!?!". I told him that I didn't have a problem w/ that, but told him he was RUSTON Dr. and it was a slap in our faces to show up to a Tech game wearing that crap. I told him "go buy a $10 t-shirt or $62 nike polo, whatever you can afford", then I walked off.
BTW: Who is the MORON at the bookstore that ordered PURPLE LOUISIANA TECH shirts!?!?!?!? They are women's shirts and they have pink, green, etc., but NOT PURPLE
This year for sorority rush they all wore Tech shirts in their respective colors, purple is the Sigma Kappa's.
Love the Avitar Captain, I also love the idea of the Gorilla holding a sign over the lowly wannabengal. Who know's maybe during a TV game it might actually make the broadcast. It's just great to see the support our students (for the most part) are giving our team. We definitely have momentum in that area. Let me also say this, there is strength in numbers. If you confront one of these lsuoosers do it as a group. Lum may have a HS avitar but he also has your best interest at heart. Hell we've already have Chickenhawks attack our gorilla, we don't need kitten scratches on him.

I can put up with wearing LSU apparel around campus. I think there's probably something a little wrong with the wearer, but I see Texas, Texas A&M, etc... every day around LSU campus. Plus, there's usually one (me) in Tech blue. Point being, that I don't see it as a slap in the face to Tech, but something that happens regardless of the university. However, I have seen far to many people wearing purple and gold to Tech games and I just can't put up with that. No excuse.
Guys, it's not really that big of a deal at least it's not to me. I have a Tulane and a Montana St. shirt that were gifts that I wear around from time to time. Heck, last year at the Auburn game I traded hats with a frat guy who's said he's been wanting a LA Tech hat for a while. So think of this way, there are students at other universities wearing Tech gear just like some of our own wearing theirs. Get over it. All I ask is that they buy a ticket and have their butts in the stands.
