He was Sunbelt player of the year his first year. In his second year he supposedly dropped off some but still led ULL to Sun Belt's West Division title. Whatever he does I wish him the best. His brother was a real star for us and a great role model and gone on to great success in the NBA.
Missing classes or grades?

Thanks for catching that. I misread it. In any case he was a good player for the Cajuns and I am sure will be missed. If any of the Cajuns that sometimes visit have any scoop, please let us know. He seems like an impact player and would do well most anywhere he goes.
I think it may be conflicts with the coach, and the fact that Uncle Johnny may not be back as assistant coach.
Reading some different places I also get the impression that he would like to be closer to his family. With Paul in Utah and I think other family there to he might try to play somewhere in Utah.
I wonder if Paul will sign a better contract with Utah this year? If not, he won't be in Utah much longer.
I think he signed an extension to his contract and would have two or three years left. Even with that, he is still on the first team "All Value" team.
the jazz have a team option for the third year, which i'm positive they will pick up, and then he'll be a restricted free agent after the '08-'09 season.

Hey, couple of things. Eli had trouble adjusting to the limited minutes as the year wore on. No player is bigger than the team itself. He does miss his family. My guess? Utah Valley State.
Eli is a nice person, He made his grades. He is leaving on good terms. Best of luck to him. Best of Luck to the La Tech softball team.

Wow, I would have never guessed UAB. Must be some kind of connection there. Hope things work out for him. He is going to have to sit out a year I expect so it is a bit perplexing.

UAB is getting ready to be scarry good! The Cousins kid from Birmingham (Now Playing in Mobile) is a national top 25 recruit. They also got Vaden coming back as well. It is probably a good thing that Elijah has to sit this year, or he would be sitting behind Vaden. Next year however he comes in with that class that Gibbons has ranked top 10.
