A buddy of mine works at the country club in ruston and told me thursday afternoon beck and bennett were up there playing some golf. He said he talked to them and Bennett told him "That we embarassed La Tech and Ruston last night. And we need to prove something against Hawaii." Maybe this loss will motivate the team and hopefully get a win next week.
At least two realize that. Did he ask them what they are going to do about it so that it will not happen again? Although we probably will not be on national TV the rest of this season.

Agreed. They certainly don't have time to play golf during the regular season. They should be passing/catching the ball 500 times a day!
Whatever. They are kids. They need to enjoy this time of their lives. How do you know they weren't practicing or watching film before or after? Are they supposed to play football 24/7?? Sometimes a break from football is good for you and actually makes you play better. It's not like they were skipping practice to play golf.
We don't need football 24/7. I would be happy if we just played football during the actual football games.
Well going golfing isn't going to keep that from happening. These guys aren't pro's. Let 'em take a f-ing break one afternoon and play golf. They are human beings and young ones at that. Some of us need a little perspective here.
No joke. If these guys practice or study film 8 hours a day, study 3 hours day, they still have time for a round of golf on a sunday. Get real if you think that Boise St. quarterback does nothing but practice and study film.
Bennett's head is in the right place, it is his accuracy that isn't.
I think they should be forced to sleep in the locker room until they start winning. No pillows and you must sleep in your helmet. Dooley should get them some pink shirts to wear to class so that they can be publicly ridiculed by all the LSU fans.
Maybe then they wouldn't do stupid stuff like lose to the #17 team in the country at their place.

Bennett is absolutely correct. Tech embarrrassed me Wed nite.
I watched the Tech-BSU game in a sports bar in Chicago with some fellow business executives. They got a big laugh at my expense when Tech looked so bad. Even THEY couldn't believe that Tech couldn't score on 4 downs from inside the 5-yd line. Truly pathetic.

I think it's been pretty clearly established that it's NOT the loss to BSU that bothers Tech fans....it's the WAY we lost to BSU, specifically our inability to SCORE and create some offense. Not scoring a single point when inside the opponents 5-yd line in three different games this year is an ugly, ugly example of what I'm talking about.
Get the message, and pass it on.
