Nope. I was wrong. He is on The Apostle soundtrack, but this one is from Leap of Faith.
I remember see Garth at the state fair in 89 or 90 at the Hirsch right after he released this song -

Top 3 for sure. The other one I linked to is very underrated (as is the earlier Susan Ashton version).
My launchcast station has been in a little bit of an altcountry mood today. In addition to the Lovett I mentioned earlier, it has played Whiskeytown, Rodney Crowell, and Reckless Kelly.
Mixed in plenty of other stuff, including some Nashville country, but the less radio-friendly stuff has really stood out this morning.
