I remember going to Ruston as a kid to see the Bulldogs play football during the national championship times and we would eat at a place on Tech Drive called, I think, the Minute Man. I remember it had great charbroiled hambugers. It was closed by the time I became a freshman at Tech. Does anybody remember that place?

what about Cooktown and I-20....that's a better location for national stuff as all I've heard was this IHOP, etc., etc., etc. but nothing as of yet
as for the thing on farmerville..is it something such as a Jack-and-a-Box or something we see in Shreveport (cheeburger, fatburger) heading this way in terms of fast food?
better yet, why not a fish market where we can get shrimp fried rice, wings and fresh seafood? That would do real well here in my opinion
I see nothing but potential for the LA 33 corridor once the four lane portion is complete. The construction of Fox's Pizza Den is underway and I would be willing to bet that more is already lined up.
Man, those 25 -cent burger nights were great! We would load up the fridge in the dorm and have Griff's for the next 2 days! The savings went to beer at Stowe's or frozen drinks at Wil-Mart!!
Was at Tech from '79 - '84. Yes, I took my time!! Got outta HS and got a taste of real world. After a year of bouncing from job to job I decided school wasn't as bad as I thought.
I understand that Starbucks is laying off 1,000 nationwide. Does anyone know if this is going to affect the Ruston Starburcks?
Surely, it wasn't for lack of business. Back in the Stone Ages (late 1970's), that place was packed on Thursday nights, and I remember during the summer, I went there on my birthday, and got a free pitcher of beer, which was consumed by all my rowdy friends in less than 5 minutes!
If that is the case, then this represents the end of an era.
