With Jack's daughter getting essentially kidnapped again for what seems like the umpteenth time, I guess I'll agree that "24" has jumped the shark. That whole segment in the airport, culminating with her being on the hidden web cam & transmitted to Jack was hard to watch. Yeah, I agree it was pretty bad and extremely predictable. As in "you knew it from the millisecond she first showed her face in the season" predictable. Hellen Keller heard and saw this coming.
Oh well, I pretty much just watch it now because I've already watched so much of it, and it's nothing more than a prolonged action flick at this point. Little to no thinking from me. And at least next week is the season finale so we don't have to go through 1/3 of a season with Kim being chased by cougars and mountain men.
I still can't give up on Tony. I just know (wishfull thinking) he's having to play out something to the end in order to save the world.
Still? I was like you, I kept thinking Tony was a good guy and hoping, but I just dont know how they can spin it now.
Maybe Tony can do something to save Kim.
That won't exonerate him after all he's done, but, at least, he can go out with some semblance of civility.

I don't know if it was the worst season ever, but the finale sure dropped it down the list quickly in my book. Pretty disappointing.
Renae is my new hero. She looked "Jackish" when she rode the car, firing at the bad guys, and then a perfect jump and roll.
Looks like Jack rubbed off her at the end too. She looked determined to make the bad leader talk - no matter what.
It wasn't the worst ending for me. The worst one was when he had been through 24 hours of hell and was kidnapped by the orientals.
Well, we did come out with an understanding of why Tony was doing what he was doing. I respected it.
Copy that.
For the sake of the show I'm glad Renae finally came to her senses and understands the Jack way of doing things.
Otherwise, ending was so predictable. . . . I mean by bringing Agent Aaron Pierce back to the series it showed his being constant all-business and a man of integrity.
Now. . . . will Jack pass or survive? Does it depend on his head-butting incident at the fashion show in New York recently which violates is parole?

Man, I was really getting pi**ed at the end. They were talking about the sorry-excuse-for-a-president and her family waaaay too much. I was beginning to think it would end with them covering the absolute least important aspect of the entire show.
Can we get Palmer re-elected next year?
Agreed, could have done with a lot less of that. The daughter was annoying, and I am glad she got what she deserved, but we didnt need that much of it.
Didn't see it until tonight. A disappointing season topped off with a weak finale. I expected better with it having been gone so long.
Gotta agree with Doc....worst....season....ever
