If you get there early enough parking is never a problem. We probably have the best parking situation in all of FBS.

Sorry, I should specify. Several years ago, when Walker first started tailgate alley, our parking was in section B. We were still issued a pass for that section even though there were no spaces because of all the motor homes and tents. I have no problem with parking myself since they switched lots for us, I just feel that every space around the stadium should be used for that. We could have a really cool Tailgate area over at the Ruston High parking lot and on that old softball field. I bet Lincoln Parish would be glad to let us use it.

So your saying that the love and intensity for TECH football stops at the edge of the JAS parking lot? I have been to games where people parked at Ruston High and the old Temple Church. If they can park that far out, they can tailgate that far out. Ever been to any game anywhere else but Ruston. They tailgate like 5-6 blocks from the stadium.


I do have to give Doc credit though. Tailgating in the park is a much better idea.

I LOVE tailgating next to the stadium. It plays a big role in our game day experience, IMO. I have been to tons of other campuses where tailgating stretches out for blocks, but being next to the stadium is prime.

personally, I really think they should rename tailgate alley as "parking lot". This is what it was before and it still should be. We lose so much parking with all the tents set up out there it is amazing.

I am saying that the intensity stops at the edge, do people park elsewhere yes, should they be able to tailgate in those locations you have mentioned yes, but getting rid of the current ways is too much to ask for.
