I suggest Log Cabin. They are open on Sunday. Do you know where that is?
I don't know where anything is in Ruston. Except Johnny's. Which is the better choice: Log Cabin or Sweet Peas? Or ... what is the difference? I have seen both mentioned here as favorites, but I don't know their menus. We are making a quick trip to Ruston to take son and friends to lunch before daughter leaves for her school next week.

Log Cabin is bbq/grilled food, Sweet Peas is soul food. The best place to eat in Ruston, IMO, is 102A Bistro, but Dowling's (bbq), Johnny's and Dawg House are the places I try to hit up when I am back in town.

On Monroe St. right next to the railroad. Monroe Street is one block west of Trenton Street (Hwy 167 South).

That looks delicious. I would add some jalapenos on top. I like the heat.

We went to the Log Cabin. It won't win any awards, but it worked for several hungry freshman. I thought my husband was going to turn the car around when I told him they didn't want to go to Griff's for those chili-cheese-dog-burgers. That's ok .. gives us somewhere to go before Fan Fest. :icon_wink: Is this Griff's related to the Griff's in Dallas? That was a good greasy burger place.

Griff's used to be a National chain that rivaled (more or less) the larger chains that existed at the time.. Griff's folded but some independently owned/operated locations exist.

there are a few in Dallas. I was at some training in Mesquite at the hotel that is connected to Resistol Arena a couple years back. at break i decided to go over to an area where i had seen a McDonalds and a Dairy Queen. when i pulled through the DQ lot i looked up and saw a sign from heaven, A GRIFF'S!!! It was like coming home. I was in my happy place.

Yeah Griff's was good for a 2am burger. Ohhh the fun college days. More than a couple of years ago though.
