Hey everyone, here is the deal with UIW. Angela has done an awesome job turning this program around. She really has and there is a chance she will read this is beat me if I don't give her the props she deserves on doing this.

There is a very interesting note of a what could have been in this game. Haley Harvey came down to choosing two schools one was Louisiana Tech and the other was UIW. I know this for a fact due to me being the one that was pushing both Tech and UIW her way. She is one of my Florida kids, I never coached her but I coached against her and knew she was a stud that had been under the radar.

Haley chose UIW over La Tech due to the job that Angela and her crew did recruiting Haley. Lawson was stunned when she saw Haley for the first time and knew immediately she has a Division 1 player on her team and knew that Haley would only improve as she got older so when watching Haley who is now a senior think about what might have been if the old crew would have been as impressive recruiting as Lawson and her bunch is.

On a side note, Angela was brought into Baylor by Sonja and was there with her until Sonja retired. She had the opportunity to stay after but along came the opportunity to be a head coach at UIW and Lawson wanted to pursue that.

She goes to play Baylor a couple days after they play La Tech.

Lawson is a great coach and it will be fun to see her and TSpoon on the floor together again.

You said that very nicely (Grin), that last year was a very ruff year for Lawson and the Lady Bears. I am thankful that she was able to regroup after that and move forward with her career. The change was desperately needed for her.

Saturday, February 13, at 2:00 pm would be the ideal UIW home game to attend in Tech gear...St. Edward's is the opponent to make it an all-Tech head coaching matchup.

It would be hard to know who to cheer for, though. :icon_wink:

I am READY! I just finished reading the entire WAC media guide and it got me pumped up - especially reading all the stats. You can really see where we should stomp some of this competition this year.

I guess we won't be able to see or listen to the game. The schedule says it will be on Gametracker. I am ready for some Lady Techster ball.

Is there anyone willing (who will be in attendance) to use their iphone to keep us posted on the exhibition game as it develops?

Man, that would be awesome if there is someone that could do that. Especially how the individual players are doing.

You can keep up with the Gametracker live stats. Of course there is a delay with it, due to the manual entry of the score.

Better than nothing, though. I hope some post some personal opinions of how our players perform - at least that evening.

Going to be hard to tell much against Incarnate Word, though. Although, I know Angela will have them ready to fight for it.
