Whatever it was, I wish I could find a way to recreate and mass produce it. I think this would be a GREAT prank gift item. It made a pretty loud popping sound that could be heard from the next room and pieces of the pan traveled pretty large distances inside the oven.

No, but it is decent size I guess. Pieces moved up to three or four inches, which I would call a relatively large distance considering there wasn't any intention to move them at all. My point is, pieces displaced a greater distance than they would have if they had just fallen off of the pan.

Additionally, very tiny pieces of glass were caught up on top of where the metal rack slides in above where the metal rack was slid in.

Crazily cold weather makes me very concerned for the homeless. I heard a radio piece on NPR yesterday where a homeless shelter director was out (in Atlanta, I think) trying to get people to come to the shelter for the night. All but one person they talked to elected to stay outdoors. I realize it is their choice and you can't make them go inside, but it really makes me feel sorry for them (I hate to be cold). Especially since someone who opts to sleep in a cardboard box when it is 4 degrees outside is probably not playing with a full deck for one reason or another.

NPR? Really? That explains a lot.:icon_wink:

There is a homeless guy down the street from my office who eats out of trash cans. One of the local cafes has offered him food, but he won't accept it. They started placing the food in a trash can to fake him off. He now gets several well balanced meals per day.

If I'm going to listen to (non-sports) news on the radio, I'd prefer that it be delivered in a calm and reasoned manner.

You hit the nail on the head. Our homeless "problem" is a direct result of liberals trying to make people who have no business amoung the general population (for their own good) part of society. They wanted so bad for these people to be out of institutions they sent them right out on the street so they can freeze to death. A perfect example of having great intentions but not dealing with the reality of the situation that liberals do all the time.

    Wow.

Don't want to let facts get in the way of a good old fashioned tirade, but only about 16-26% of homeless people are mentally ill.

Yes and many more are drug addicts. So. They are still out there as a result.

Touchy subject and one that I tend to "whistle while I walk by the graveyard" on. I lived on a buddie's couch for a period of time and then lived in an unheated, no AC and no phone apartment with no vehicle for a couple of years (BTW: Greedy ex-wives suck!). I got up every day and went to work at a business down the street, 7 days a week, oftentimes 14 hours each day. The only thing I'd like to point out is that I own that business now. Being close to homeless was no fun and I'd have damn sure been that way had it not been for good friends and a little help from family and I'd assume that some of those folks out there aren't fortunate to have one or the other.

    ~35-38%

Still leaves quite a few (at least 40%) who fit in neither category.

A Tech alumni went on a missions trip to Haiti. During this trip, her group repaired the roof of a school cafeteria. This was before the earthquake.
