Smoked a brisket for the old lady's birthday this past weekend. Had a nice 1/4" smoke ring on the meat, too. It was also my first attempt at smoking, as I recieved an offset smoker/grill for christmas:

The brisket looks lovely, but I must say I find your use of the term "my old lady" unlovely. I never have liked that. I was called that once by my ex-husband if you follow. :icon_wink:

Portico is really good. Classy enough for a date night, yet casual enough to go have an appetizer with happy hour. Its basically a clone of the Monroe one with the bar that wraps around to the porch. Decent food, good atmosphere.

I agree. I wish it would have been there while I was in school.

Well you didn't call me an old lady so I'm not offended for my sake. I guess endearment is in the heart of the receiver.

I've only eaten there once in Nashville, but we really liked it. Pretty good lunch menu. But yeah, it's still clearly a chain.

Raw was great...friendly service, quick delivery of food, and very tasty...everyone has to try the "Tech" roll...awesome stuff...
