Dammit: The clock's about to run out for "24."
Nothing's official yet, but Fox has all but decided to make the current season of the Kiefer Sutherland thriller its last, according to people familiar with the network's decision. Fox and 20th Century Fox TV have begun end-of-life conversations and a formal announcement that season eight will be the last could come as soon as this week

and so CTU gets hit with an EMP, looks like it is time for a gun battle next episode. I never grow tired of this show. You guys can say what you want but it hasn't gotten stale for me. I mean if you want to jump the shark you could say that about the 1st season, Jacks daughter was kidnapped twice in 24 hrs. You have to suspend all disbelief just to watch this show. Good twist tonight with Terin, and the EMP.

Looks like it's Jack and his current unit against the world (and I'm sure Chloe will recover her senses to save the day, too).

I like this season...picked up a bit from last year in my opinion.

The groundbreaking action drama will air its final real-time episode in May, the victim of a confluence of circumstances: a swelling budget, declining ratings and creative fatigue.
Yet for fans of Jack Bauer, there remains hope. Studio 20th TV is developing a theatrical film that takes Bauer to Europe, and showrunner and executive producer Howard Gordon says other possibilities are being explored as well.

Agreed. Hopefully they'll go out strong this season.
Maybe they made a couple possible endings (one with Jack dying), and now they have optionality on how they want to end it.

I didn't catch it, Dr. E... then again, I was really young when I last saw a Bonanza episode.
One thing's for sure, if they keep killing characters off at this pace, the entire last episode could be a monologue by Jack.

Whenever one of the Cartwright boys would fall in love, invariably said girl would suddenly die (of a myriad of reasons). I'm thinking Jack is carrying that same gene...
