Just got one this year myself. The 3.5's are good for ducks/geese only. Just shoot the 2 3/4's for all else. I like #7's for dove, #4 for squirrels, steel #2's and #4's for ducks, T's or B"s for geese, and 3.5- 00 Buckshot for home invaders.

MD, I still have not shot it, but hope to this week on some clays. Will it have trouble ejecting light target loads? I always loved my old Browning Light 12 because I could just change the friction rings to suit the load, while some friends with gas-operators couldn't shoot very light loads.

I'll go out tomorrow and pick up the 3.5" - 00 Buckshot

It should handle all loads smoothly...the exception being the teeth-rattling of the 3.5 duck loads. I think I'm just gonna shoot 3 inch next season. Course I'm only 5'10" and 155 lbs so I get the worst of the recoil.:icon_wink:

I got everything from 2.75" skeet load all the way to the 3.5' teeth rattlers - I'll let you know how it goes

You shot it yet? I'm toying with the idea of getting a different carry gun. If I stay with 9mm, I'm gonna get the PT709 slim. If I go with a double stack, I might go with the one you got. Give us a range report!

Short stack 1911-type magazines are dangerous for those of us that have multiple 1911s...they'll slide in, but they damned sure won't feed!

Anyone ever have any experience with a Kahr Arms pistol for concealed carry? I really like the way they feel in the hand,but have not shot one.

That's interesting...didn't think about that. I know it would be less than manly, but Springfield has a 1911 model for concealed carry that's designed for a 9mm...might get rid of the feed issues (at the expense of the masculinity!).

I have a small Springfield 1911 but it uses a full-size magazine.
