It just really doesn't get better than Griff's. Ate it tonight after an engineering presentation and it's just heaven on a hamburger bun. Too bad you gotta go to a cardiologist after each trip.

I noticed they were taking down the TCBY sign today. Are they just cleaning it up to be ready for a new tenant, or is something for sure going in?
so is there any confirmation on Newks yet? I have to say I'm pretty excited if this is true. But don't want to get my hopes up yet.
I have never heard of Newk's bringing a location to Ruston. I think whoever posted about Newk's earlier was only mentioning restaurants he would like to see in Ruston -- he never said he had heard one was coming to Ruston.
Smoothie King will do great in their new location. Just have me a medium strawberry Hulk ready about 8:15 a.m. every morning and I'll pick it up in the drive through.
I doubt Karl's place/Ruston Market is big enough for a Newks and Foxs.

Burger Kings apparently chew through management. They almost ALWAYS are advertising for store managers, and they are almost ALWAYS poorly run.
Although, I did eat at one in New Braunfels, TX, a few months back that was very well run. Dwayne will not be surprised to learn that the entire staff was Hispanic. (Who am I kidding; they were Mexican. Hispanics live in Florida and New York.)
I always liked Burger King more than other fast food places when I lived in Arkansas.
The one in Ruston is just trash.
When Sydran out of California owned most of the BK's in Louisiana, they pretty much ruined the brand by hiring employees who didn't give a rat's a$$ about whether anyone got good service or about whether Bk made it or not. The one on Thomas Rd./Hwy 80 in W. Monroe was one of the better ones 5+ yrs. ago but I don't think they were a Sydran store either.
The Burger King in Arcadia is excellent.
