Meticulously inputing data into an electronic 1594 just to get the blue screen of death and having the computer completely crash at the end of your CQ shift.

    Re: peeve of the day

For years TNS has had their delivery guys throw out a weekly advertising paper that is larger than most daily papers. I've asked them several times not to throw it in my driveway because I'm tired of picking it up and throwing it away. Also, I've noticed that the papers greatly contribute to the litter problem in our community.

Today was my first day of picking the paper(s) up and throwing them in the parking lot of TNS on my way to work. It felt great!

the houston chronicle does that to me. unfortunatly, i don't pass their parking lot on my way to work, but that is an excellent idea. i don't understand what gives them the right to litter in my yard just because advertisers are paying them to do it (i'm not a subscriber).

Next week I'll pick up an extra one across the street for you. When I throw it out at TNS, I'll holler, "That's from Bob!"

Ordering an update for my MAC and receiving it 5 days later than I should have all because of their "optimal" delivery route. Let's visualize an atlas for a second. Can someone please explain how a route from Tennessee to Dallas, then over to Denver, down to New Mexico, then back to Louisiana is more efficient that a straight shot? Not only that, but they shipped it in a box that was 10 times too big. No wonder shipping cost $6.

It was BP and TransOcean you twit!!

Pelosi blames Bush administration for BP oil spill.
    05/29/10 7:38 AM EDT

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., blamed the Bush administration for any lack of oversight leading up to the Gulf oil spill. The Obama administration, on the other hand, is blameless.

Going to a restaurant and having the waiter interrupt you 5,000 times right in the middle of the conversation just to ask, "how's everything tasting?", "y'all doin' alright?" Like if it tastes bad, I'm really gonna send it back to have the chef spit in it. You can see my water glass, if it ain't full, fill it up. If I need something specifically, I will ask. But part of the reason I go out to eat is for comraderie with my friends and when you interrupt me in the middle of one of my hilarious stories, it's really hard for me to get my comedic timing back. Bring my food, beer me water and don't harass me and I will give you at LEAST 20%.

Unfortuately a lot of times it's pure politics. Or at least it used to be.
