I'm Tired of being the program nobody wants!

I know we're on the outside looking in on this conference expansion deal, but seriously, what is it going to take before we are the team that people WANT in their conference? The WAC wishes we would disappear (or at least they did before Fresno and Nevada left), CUSA passed us over for a university on the OTHER SIDE of Texas. Heck, we don't even know for sure that we could get into the Sun Belt if we wanted to! (Don't have many friends there).


What are we missing? On-field success? Fan base? Media market? Larger athletic budget? Facilities? We are doing all we can do to improve in all of these areas, and still we are no lock to get into CUSA if a spot does open up. I wish the NCAA would step in, establish a sanctioned post-season with a playoff setup, and take power AWAY from the bowls and the BCS. Maybe then conferences would change their strategy when it comes to selecting teams....who knows...

All I know is if CUSA passes on us this time, I say we go INDY, schedule them one by and one, and annihilate every one of them.

I feel your pain. We are just suffering from too many years of neglect. I don't think on field success has much to do with cusa's criteria. Look at who they picked the last time. And the first time they passed us over we were stuck in reverse. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but, as we all know, in the strange world of conference realignment, there is no such thing as a lock.

It's not about winning. It's not about money (in your pocket). It's about bringing value into the conference in terms of tv money.

Past that, it's just history and timing and being the right (or wrong) place at the right time.
