Tulsa is now In Play for the I-Bowl

I've heard that USF will sell out the St Pete Bowl by itself, so the other team doesn't matter. USF doesn't want to play FAU just like we don't want to play ULL.

If USF upsets WVU, the Car Care Bowl may select USF before St. Pete has a chance.

Its funny because I'm not even "hating" on ULLLL. I don't even have anything against those guys. In fact, they are my first-favorite UL_ team.

They just aren't going to the Indy Bowl, is all. Or, let me rephrase this: no one on the Indy Bowl committee is even considering ULL for this bowl. If they did, I would know. Some posters here know why.

I don't have a clue why. Seems there is no other choice. NC State is out. Notre Dame is out. USF won't trade for FAU. Then I get this quote from the CUSA commissioner:

Conference USA commissioner Britton Banowsky said in the moments after TU’s 27-24 loss to East Carolina that it’s a “strong likelihood” that the Hurricane will play in the GMAC Bowl.

“We should know that (Sunday),” Banowsky said. “I would say there’s a strong likelihood that the University of Tulsa football team will play in the GMAC Bowl again.

“They’ve kind of identified the runner up as the team they want. Barring something unforeseen, I think that’s the bowl. Fans need to get ready to go.”

Must be Arkansas State?

GMAC doesn't want Tulsa. Tulsa played there last year and didn't bring anybody. They are looking to trade.

They don't have to take Tulsa. They can take Memphis or Houston too. But that would still leave Tulsa in the St Pete Bowl or Ft Worth Bowl (CUSA tie-ins). This isn't making sense to me. I'm thinking 90% chance of ULL unless this drawing out of the hat for Western Michigan thing comes in to play.
