What a month January should be!

January Possibilities:

1. a CUSA invitation

2. SEZ announcements

3. notable recruiting commits

4. information regarding the status of the possible move to the LSU System

That should be enough for the first 4 weeks of the year!

Looking back that would have been awesome for us!! Let's see what happened.

1. We are lucky Benson went to the Sun Belt, so we can move up there. With Malzahn now leading Arkansas State, the emergence of the University of Louisiana and Cristobal staying at Florida International we will have a tough first three or four years in football and forget about basketball. We are light years away there.

2. On track there.

3. A class outside the top 100. Interesting how the coaching staff went with a class lacking in quantity and a class lacking in quality. Who does that?

4. Well if that happens I see two positives. We won't be park of the University of Louisiana anymore. I would rather be the little LSU than the little ULL. And, at least we won't be called LSU at Ruston. I'm thankful we weren't called UL-Ruston!

That's some funny stuff right there. Your name says Dawg, and I think you are referring to Louisiana Tech when you say we, but there is something that is not quite right about you, something that makes me doubt you are actually a Tech grad or fan. What could it be..................... I figured it out! Everything you just said. Lets see if we can figure out who you really pull for:

1. No hope for Tech to the alliance, love for Arkansas State, ULM, and FIU while also discounting our football (we won our conference you know) and basketball. This tells me you are either a fan of a Sun Belt school or a hard core Tech hater ala Memphis or an Eager Eagle type.
2. that's a hard one to read Deputy Dawg.
3. I would assume that this assessment comes from Scout which had one of the least favorable views of Techs class and penalized heavily for having a small class size. Most of the Sun Belt schools were right there in the Scout ranking so this makes me think maybe you are just a hard core Tech hater from outside the sunbelt.
4. Part of the University of Louisiana, little LSU, little ULL. Hmm. I don't think even a ULL person would try to make that argument. UL-Ruston, LSU Ruston, You seem to have some trouble separating the system from the institutions that share a similar name. I am guessing you are from outside the state because your ignorance seems somewhat genuine.


You didn't make it easy on me so I have to take a wild guess. I think it's our TCU friend (frog-something or another) posing as a Sunbelt fan posing as a Tech fan. I think we should all place our bets and maybe Deputy Dawg will come back and tell us which one guessed correctly.
