This offense has a lot of "choice" routes that are based on the coverage being played by the defense. I wouldn't be so quick to say you know it was supposed to be a go route. Likely, the receiver had the option of a go route or a curl/hitch, depending on the coverage. If the receiver felt like the defender was bailing, he sits down and takes the easy completion. This likely was simply a misread/miscommunication. Who was at fault? I would need to see the film to determine, and I'm sure they will discuss that in the film room. I'm not saying J'Mar was wrong, but the likelihood is that he misread the coverage more than the receiver incorrectly broke off his route.
