I'll agree with the bowl issue but if you think there is really a dead period you know nothing about recruiting. I've been through it twice. The school has outside contacts that keep up with their kids and all schools have outside contacts who are always working these kids. It's a lot uglier than people think.
What I really meant to say is yes these kids are holding and waiting to see who the OC and DC is and see if that particular coach is running the same scheme they are comfortable with. That's all...
I like that Dunn has a good grasp on the type of offense we want to see at Tech. I don't like that Evangel was basically a team comprised of all-star players that attended ECA because it's a private school. Would he have had that success at a public school? How would it translate at Tech?
Having coached at ECA we know he can recruit.![]()
It's not called recruiting at ECA... it's cherry picking.
I think you answered your own question. He will try to get all the best players here also to win. Recruiting is legal in college. If this guy talked parents into changing schools when their sons were 15 it will be a no-brainer with their 18 yr old.
As for Curtis and Evangel, they don't have to recruit as much. They have won so many titles kids all want to go there. When Evangel went to the spread all the best wide receivers and QB's wanted to go there. The high power offense we just displayed this year will attract those guys to Tech if we get a good OC..
NOT SELFO!!!
