UTA is 4-0 on the road in the WAC (2nd best in the conference). We were very lucky to pull out the win at their place. Hopefully we will bring our A++ game.

The foul at the end of the game could have gone either way, BUT, UTA never should have gotten the ball for that possession. The player throwing the ball CLEARLY stepped over the line and back before throwing the ball in. I saw it. I was there.
That is what the coach went crazy over. He wanted a bail out on a last second shot when the "contact" was initiated by his shooter kicking our defender... yes kicking.
They were claiming that we got the same call earlier but it was nowhere near the same. Our shooter was contacted by their defender; it may have been slight but it was a foul that altered the shot.

I assumed that you were talking about the blocking call sending Speedy to the line with about 6 seconds as the call that could have gone either way. Skilldawg is correct that the shooter initiated the contact on the last play when he kicked the defender. The no-call was clearly correct.
They were also still upset about the blocking call on their guy when Speedy was racing into the front court. I think this call was the most controversial call of the night. I'm glad it went our way. If it hadn't, they would have had the ball at midcourt with 6 seconds left and down only 1.

Good stuff Ford. Thanks for sharing!
