Strength coaches don't help by tweeting out pics of ridiculous posters, worn out weight room equipment, etc., for the whole world to see and make fun of, especially right before signing day. If you want to point your finger at somebody, it should be at the genius who tweeted out the embarrassing pic. This guy isn't very bright. The folks at SB Nation are all over this.

One of the main reasons most of the team is getting stronger is because most of the team is YOUNG after graduating as many kids as we have in the past 2 years. It's harder to NOT get stronger from your sophomore to junior year than it is to get stronger.

I didn't care for his results last year, and he does kind of come across as a run-of-the-mill crossfit douchebag. It is good to hear about our improvements in powerlifting which provides a good foundation for S&C, but I hope he is developing the right balance of speed, strength and endurance for the offense we want to run and the offenses we will need to defend against. He certainly has an opportunity to win me over this year.

Not too much to be conditioned for when you run an offense that only wants to run 50-60 plays a game.

Who knows what kind of conditioning they've done. Maybe he'll put more conditioning work in for the spring, but if they're getting stronger, he's doing something right. Olympic lifting correlates strongly with explosiveness, quickness, and strength.

I would say there are ALL TYPES of motivation provided in the university athletic weight rooms.
