I will worry about this when we become bowl eligible -

If we had beaten NWSt they would be playing for bowl eligibility this Saturday...

That was a huge loss

4 huge wins -- 1 bad loss. I will take that anytime. 3-0 cusa with tie breaker over UTEP. Recruiting win and shut cajuns up . Learned lesson on NSU. Beat South Miss / Rice== win division. Beat Rice win division. Right now the New Mexico Bowl projecting Tech vs Nevada or Utah state on their web site... Ibowl and Cusa reps touring shreveport thursday and centry tel ( future cusa tourney?) -- Cusa Bowl site showing us as possible I-bowl third conference choice. I would not be surprised to see us tie in over next few yrs. CUSA make sense for I-bowl-- current tie in gets worst team from each conference. Like everyone I would prefer Dallas. Boca Raton, Bahamas and Hawaii for Christmas?? does not feel right.

If Tech gets the choice between the HoD or I-Bowl and they choose the I-Bowl, I will not attend.

i will go to any bowl Tech is invited to--period--. get used to it, probable tie in with Cusa and I bowl over next few yrs-- CUSA reps in town this week inspecting stadium and centry tel for conference BB tourney. I will support team anywhere they play--supporting team trumps hurt feeling of the past

Nope, not til next year when Navy joins. ECU has a 5-place lead on Marshall right now. They only way I see Marshall jumping ECU is if ECU loses.

No school has any lead on any other school yet. Not until the first playoff rankings come out next Tuesday night.

It happened and now it's time to get over it. I bet the team and staff have it in their rearview mirror and have learned from it. That's all that counts. Much like the 73 - 0 loss (or whatever it was) to Houston by JRP's team. You just bury it and move on.

I agree. But we will learn from it, move on and get over it. There's no other choice. But the fans need to get over it as well. Upsets happen in pro and college football. It was a terrible fluke no doubt.

. Not justifying loss -- but we can live with one every 20-30 yrs. Alabama lost to us twice and ulm. Didn't we beat both miss state and ole miss last time we played??? Just saying you CAN lose to anybody and recover-- especially if you learn to get ready for everybody and stay focused for 60 minutes. We may play 14 games this year-- we get 10 wins and the NSU game will haunt us. During Dykes error I still think about how close Grambling came to beating us. Not good to focus on any game but next one-- that includes letting go of a pts one, good or bad

. And that year we had great year-- we just forgot about it and moved on . Sportsdog and brothers were ballboys on sideline of game. Joe ferguson kept them out at halftime but they were impressed with JRP's command of foul language

. Difference between casual fan and die hard supporter. I put you in top 1% of supporters. Not just about contributions, more about your passion for Tech. Fans are fickle, heck-- cowboy crud coming out now andl Saints stuff disappearing-- Only 2 more home games and neither team will make "casual fan" excited-- even if we play Rice for division championship. We were , supposedly, playing for Orange Bowl and top 20 with greatest offensive team in nation. We had great crowd but less than NSU game.

I was thinking ( dangerous) about top 4 teams in nation-- we beat the 3 we played last time ( I think-miss state?). Back to thread--? New Mexico bowl?
