Awesome! How do you like it?

I got a chance to shoot the FNX at the range last weekend. It shoots better than it looks! Trigger pull is a little longer than I'm used to, but the recoil (or lack thereof) is excellent. Very smooth and accurate shooter. His has a Burris red dot on it and it worked great. I believe he paid around $1,300 for the whole package.

Another note from my range trip: Got to shoot my newly-built 6.8SPCII, and it's definitely a tack driver! I took the first 2 shots (at 50 yards) without adjusting the scope, and both shots hit the same hole. With the adjustable gas block and muzzle brake, I get less recoil from it than my 5.56. All I could get for ammo locally was 110gr V-max, so that's what I had to use to zero the scope, but I have some 120gr SST on order. I'll hopefully be able to make a trip to dial it in with the 120s soon. I'll get some pics up on here later on.

I also met a guy on my way out that had a Stag 6.8 with him. Only got to talk to him for a few minutes, but found out he's a Tech alum as well. Not sure if he's on this board or not, though. I believe he told me his last name is Maguire (sp)? Don't remember his first name. Either way, it was nice to meet another alum and talk about our 6.8s.

Is the trigger pull as long as a Glock? What about the grip- is it comfortable? Does it feel bulky?

I haven't had any time to use the new optics yet, but the hws and magnifier both appear to be high quality pieces. Although the magnifier is cheap, it seems fairly solid and the lenses seem to be clear. The eye relief is fairly short though.

To be honest with you, I can't answer that because I've never shot a glock. It's much longer than my XDm and my buddy's Sig Scorpion, though. The break is crisp, but it just takes a long pull to get the shot off.

The grip feels great. It fits my hand perfectly, and you definitely wouldn't think there were 15 rounds of .45 in there. Heather shot it too, and told me she thought the grip was actually less bulky than my XDm.

Finally bought a Tikka T3 Lite in .270 I was eyeing for a while. I put a Leupold VX-II 3x9x40mm on it. I just need some better rings then it is off to the range!

Took the RRA Elite Comp, EOTech and 3x magnifier to the range this weekend for sight in. After getting it dialed in decent for 50-100 yards, I shot 27/27 inside the 9 ring at 50, and 4/4 inside the 9 ring at 100.

Wasn't really trying to get the best possible shot at 50. Some of those were at about 1 second between shots.

Anyway, I love this setup. Way too easy to be accurate with an infinite focus reticle and low recoil rifle. Trigger is between 4-5 lbs with a clean break, so that definitely helps.

Haven't tried it at longer distances yet. I didn't bring a spotting scope and I could barely make out the center of the target at 100 yards with 3x magnification. Couldn't see the holes until I retrieved the target, but was happy with the result.

I recently picked up the new XD Mod.2 subcompact. Pretty fantastic gap filler between the xd and xdm. It isn't noticeably larger to me than my M&P shield. Love it.
