Awesome! How do you like it?
I got a chance to shoot the FNX at the range last weekend. It shoots better than it looks! Trigger pull is a little longer than I'm used to, but the recoil (or lack thereof) is excellent. Very smooth and accurate shooter. His has a Burris red dot on it and it worked great. I believe he paid around $1,300 for the whole package.
Another note from my range trip: Got to shoot my newly-built 6.8SPCII, and it's definitely a tack driver!I took the first 2 shots (at 50 yards) without adjusting the scope, and both shots hit the same hole. With the adjustable gas block and muzzle brake, I get less recoil from it than my 5.56. All I could get for ammo locally was 110gr V-max, so that's what I had to use to zero the scope, but I have some 120gr SST on order. I'll hopefully be able to make a trip to dial it in with the 120s soon. I'll get some pics up on here later on.
I also met a guy on my way out that had a Stag 6.8 with him. Only got to talk to him for a few minutes, but found out he's a Tech alum as well. Not sure if he's on this board or not, though. I believe he told me his last name is Maguire (sp)? Don't remember his first name. Either way, it was nice to meet another alum and talk about our 6.8s.
