My vote (for what it's worth): Stick with Smith!!!
Just tying to keep it real. Our fans (including me) are excited about what they saw today with J'Mar. If HCSH makes a decision on what he saw today without giving his named starter the same opportunity to "show his stuff" he was never being genuine about what he said going into this game. He is not one to flip flop on emotions.
J'Mar's head may need a week off to clear after that helmet to,helmet hit.
Good old Memorial Gym
He made a decision today when he kept trotting J'Mar out there. He's bull headed if he pulls J'Mar...plain and simple. That's not emotion, that's recognizing that a young talent has made the most of his opportunity and he shouldn't get yanked because of some boneheaded coach speak.
So because the fans think J'Mar is better (compared to what we've seen in limited action from Higgins) HCSH should forget what he watched in the Spring and Fall and go with what he saw today...yeah that's emotion.
Not a single person that I know of said that J'Mar was the best QB before today. He may be. He looked great for a RS Freshman, but HCSH is going to stick to his guns and he should.
Imagine if Bill Belichick had decided to stubbornly stick with Drew Bledsoe instead of turning to Tom Brady. I don't know what you saw today, but I saw a young QB who showed me something we've never seen from Ryan Higgins in his four years here. He showed mobility, he showed poise, and he showed an upside that Higgins doesn't possess. It's not like Ryan Higgins hasn't had opportunities in the past to show what he's capable of doing. He's never shown anything close to what J'Mar showed today.
