I was talking with him the other day and last year we pulled in 64 kids from DFW and I bet that was the biggest in a long time if ever. He also has been working the area hard and just finished a big push. A young lady in the graphics design class across from my courtroom just got her acceptance letter and scholarship offer from us this past weekend. She knew my wife and I are alumni so she waited to open her letter in front of me, instead of her parents. She is pumped for next fall and is going biomed.
I am also going to start a small scholarship through the local education foundation in Frisco. We had 8 FISD students go to Tech last year and that number needs to increase and any extra incentives $$ to get the top kids headed to Ruston is worth it.
Daniel earns his pay but he is so worth it.
I wonder if this is the guy that came to my school and was putting on an LSU jacket as he was leaving. Daniel Dupuy would never be caught in LSU attire. That definitely shouldn't have been him.

Correct. As Dogswin pointed out initially, his work in the Metroplex has done wonders for Tech.
I don't know if we have any recruiters who come to the Cenla area, or more specifically Pineville High School, to recruit students. I haven't seen any. I have my Tech stuff in my room and talk Tech all the time. I recruit hard, but it's mostly unsuccessful. We have a few students heading to Tech, but most are headed elsewhere.

This actually happened last year. I didn't mean to interject anything negative. I have been meaning to try and find out who that was to let someone know.
I also wish they would let me know when they are coming to our school so I can meet with them and point some students in that direction.
