Why don't the immigrants stay in their countries and try to make them better? The US wasn't exactly a picnic in the 17-1800s and early 1900s. My mother and father were raised in the great depression, but, they never decided to move to another country. We never had running water in our house until I was 6 years old. One thing my mother always preached was you never take anything free from anybody. My mother had 4 commandments. You don't steal, lie, cheat or take anything free. You got a certain amount of money each day for eating at school. If there was some extracurricular thing such as a magician show in the auditorium, you didn't go, even if one of your classmates offered to pay your way. Now, all these immigrants are coming here looking for handouts that they think we owe them and democrats want to give them. The country has really changed in the last 50 years.
Would they be killed in Mexico?
No doubt many are very hard workers. The issue is not immigration. The issue is our ability to control our own border and have a say as to who comes into the country. The immigration laws need to be changed to encourage guest workers and discourage border jumping, child smuggling, and "disappearing into the shadows" instead of showing up for court dates. Have to make sure government cheese does not become the attractive nuisance that causes people to trek thousands of miles (someone has to be funding this, don't you think?).
Oh, the issue isn't race either. As soon as THAT is added to the things to argue about, there is no way forward.
Time for congress to do their job.
Or....we could elect a socialist and destroy the US economy, making it much less of a desirable destination.
