Your empathy deficit is starting to get disturbing. We are talking about actual people, you know. People that died often leaving loved ones in grief. Loved ones that haven’t been able to be near the relative during the quarantine or even be in the same room when they passed. Open your heart a little. It will make you stronger.

I've been visiting my Mom at the nursing home though a window for weeks now. I can empathize. I have not been able to attend visitations or funerals of several friends over the past several weeks. I have empathy. Part of living is dying and dying is not the worst thing that can happen to a person unless someone has your lack of faith, but total omniscience.

Back into the numbers to find out how the books have been cooked. I'm calling BS on the China Viurs numbers again...

640 died in 230 facilities. That's less than 3 people per facility over a 6 week (?) period. That's probably about normal unless others have died of "natural causes" during that same period. I doubt we'll ever know that number.

    Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition

My understanding of the report is these are supposed to be directly C-19 related. The numbers were adjusted down to 640 from a number closer to 1,000. I guess after proper autoposies and other analysis was performed previously C-19 reported deaths were removed from that cateogry. But, no, I have not seen any independent reporting/confirmation on any of this. This is just what the LDH (Louisiana Department of Hospitals) is now reporting.

Well, further clarification. Most of the original 1,000 or so (968 was actual number) were not all reported and included in that daily total that posted on the C-19 website. Some of the cases were being "held" pending investigation and determination of the cause of death.

I think we'll see more downward adjustments on the cause of death previously attributed to C-19. Just like we saw in Pennsylvania recently.

I posted two months ago that I wished this was all "much ado about nothing" and that this scare would prove to be overblown. That surely beats the alternative. I'll say the same thing about Dr. Fauci's dire predictions of the Second Wave. I HOPE HE IS DEAD WRONG! Yeah, I know, folks like Goosey et al and the evil anti-American forces are rooting hard for more calamity in a vain hope it will destroy Trump's bid for reelection. I can't help that. They are evil globalist socialists and they are just being consistent with who they are. For me, I have remained firmly rooted in the truth. Taking in all the information being reported and weighing it all against what I do know...

The truth has a way of finding its way into the light...eventually. That should be true of this whole C-19 mess as well.

We are still in the early innings for cases in facilities outside of NOLA. You will see a spike in the deaths in about 3 weeks.

It's a fair question. One of the British estimates mentioned about half of the elderly people who die from Covid would likely have died within the year anyway. Doesn't make it any less tragic and doubling the numbers is significant. (Note I'm just going from memory on the British estimate, so that may be a little off).

The 2017 number for total deaths in Louisiana according to CDC was 45,804 or about 885/week. So that's approximately 5300 over a 6 week period in a normal year. I realize flu season needs to be considered.

Now all we need to know is what the number of total deaths from all causes has been for for the past 6 weeks. IMO, these numbers should be included in ALL statistics we are now seeing. Instead we are getting the indoctrination numbers only and trying to scare the crap out of the sheeple.

I saw this. Interesting that they have heart disease so high when heart disease leads to the respiratory and kidney. It's basically which organ shuts down first...heart, lungs, or kidneys. A broken hip in an elderly male normally leads to one or all of these, but obviously that won't be listed as the cause of death.

I would like for a news network to put up these numbers along with the covid numbers to give them context and to help people get some comfort about the decisions they make going forward until they have a vaccine or effective treatment. This is especially true for those who are at high risk and those who have more than risk factor .
The deaths broken down by age would also be valuable . The Caddo parish breakdown is very enlightening.

They don't want the sheeple to know age or pre-existing. Just male or female. They do go overboard to tell us about young people who get sick. They talked race for a while, but only because they thought they could spin it somehow. When the Black Surgeon General scolded the black community about poor habits, they shut the race discussion down immediately.
