Fantastic decade for music. Most music nowadays is just downright awful.

Musicians have forgotten how to produce music with a melody for the most part. The really hard rock is just a wall of noise to me and the rap/bebop stuff just has nothing to attract me and just seems too thug for my tastes. Maybe my tastes are old school but the music from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and I have recently found from a post above some of the 90's excluding the disco most disco stuff is my mainstay. I also find that some of the new age stuff if you are discriminant can be very nice.

Listened to this the other night. I think my favorite line (on an album full of great lines) is the opening of the title track.

The Mississippi Delta was shining like a National Guitar

Perfect.


As a side note, the baby really seemed to like That was Your Mother. I guess I should start looking for that Baby's First Zydeco cd to buy.
