I work for the largest airline in the world.. I have a lot to comment on this area but I cannot. The only thing I will say is that we have had a pilot test positive for COVID-19 and he already recovered week and half ago. I can say that because it was in local news.

See where 11 air traffic controllers have tested positive. Well, sorry to hear that, but it's curious that someone who sits in a tower and doesn't have constant contact with the traveling public is infected, yet we still hear nothing about flight attendants, ticket desk workers, etc...who do have a lot of contact, or did have during a period of open travel with no particular protections in place.

Rate of positive tests up to a statewide 24%.

Still...648 of the cases and 18 of the deaths are in the New Orleans area, and another 23 cases in Baton Rouge.

So either airline workers that face the public are dropping like flies or they are getting sick at the same (or lesser) rate as the general public...in either case, it seems someone needs to be asking the questions because no one on BB&B has a clue!
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?

I think Frisco would have some interesting input if he were able to share.

How would doctors/hospitals/testing clinics report occupations without violating HIPAA?

By not providing names. But how is stating X number of flight attendants, or any occupation, are infected a violation of HIPAA?

BTW, speaking of medical "officials" what is their civic/ethical/legal obligation to report what they do know when withholding information is in direct contrast to public health and safety?

    Stay tuned...as of 4:34 CDT...

Using stats of pre-diabetics and/or the obese would be interesting. Based on what we are hearing it attacks some violently while barely attacking others. It would be interesting to know those numbers instead of just the ages.

Okay, the info has been publically released now. Covid-19 case confirmed in Natchitoches. But patient was initially diagnosed last Thursday and his/her test results were just confirmed this afternoon. In the meantime, 72 hours, how many people did this person come in contact with if not adhering to the strictest social-distancing protocols?

State has released a list of "essential" workers. It's a loooooooooooong list. They could have saved themselves some time by simply stating "everyone is an essential worker with the exception of: pro athletes, Hollywood-types, attorneys, most politicians, attorneys, most media, oh, and attorneys too."
